More elegant than a standard suit of which are dime a dozen, it is itself composite suit. Smooth, chic blazer with a tube skirt in (almost) the same shades. Wear a nice blouse with a chic shirt under. For a cool, reserved and business but very elegant look.
Looking at the modecatwalks for summer 2010, we see - even in the most conventional collections - often a stream of outfits that suggests that women today rarely puts a foot in a work environment. Tiny and mostly very short dresses dominate daytime, or even tiny ankle-length dresses in a glamorous version steal the show for the evening.
So we will own, with style and elegance, combining the need to save our office outfits for this summer to put together.
Golden style rules for the modern woman
- Classic and elegant are still the key. As a businesswoman you want professionalism, competence, reliability and responsibility radiate.Make sure you "work wardrobe" contains some real classics that you always can fall back flawlessly.
- Go for muted colors. Avoid bright colors and striking color combinations. Prefer fine prints and patterns over large or garish fantasies.
- Go for the perfect fit. Your "work clothes" as you cast down. You radiate perfection!
- Go for quality fabrics (not shiny seams of iron!). Avoid synthetic fabrics.
- Never wear tight clothing (and certainly no nipple sweaters).
- Never wear clothes to bare. Avoid low-cut necklines and short skirts (in terms of professionalism and objectivity that feminine aspect in your personal life will pick up, bid).
- Make sure you look well cared for. For your clothing, this means no stains, no wrinkled clothes, no ladders in your tights stockings, no missing buttons or unwashed clothes.
- Wear little jewelry.Everything bling says, detracts from your professionalism.
- Go for shoes or classic - but that is all sensitive - boots. Avoid bare shoes, high shoes, or striking details (too many straps and studs).
- Give your business clothing own personal interpretation. This could be a suit with a nice leather strap to finish, or by striking a nice blouse to wear under.
The loose summer pants are easily combined with blazers and jackets and give you something contemporary and modern look.
A dark blue (jacket) with a classic cut dress is perfect for warmer days when you just do not have to think a blazer. Create the look with accessories like a classic narrow ceintuurtje and some high heels or Mary Janes.
The classic pearl gray pantsuit is ideal for any meeting. It's always good to have a ready-made business outfit for grabs to have.
And covered with dark colors is always at work. They provide a slimmer silhouette and longer and therefore a powerful presence. You choose these colors, then the best design is sportier and more modern (or go for closed shoes).
The navy look with his blue-and-white stripes is perfect for summer days at the office. Go to prefer the more sophisticated stripes.
Chalk stripes remain the pinnacle of objectivity. Male influences throughout this summer in the fashion show, are good for business but a business-inspired look.
A classic coat is a must for any business woman who often must trail. Ideally, try a longer jacket that you can wear on each outfit.
A chic suit still remains perfect for conferences, meetings and other official occasions.
Light, muted colors like the new 'neutral' on summer days doing good. A nice pair of trousers and a high-necked blouse are suitable for the office.
